In The Spotlight:
Warrenton, Virginia
In every great wine region of the world: Burgundy, Rioja, Piedmont, the Mosel, the Douro…wine is seldom presented in isolation. It is experienced as a cultural expression shaped by history, land, and people. Visitors are not simply tasting a product; they are engaging with a place, its stories, and its sense of continuity.
We believe that the same timeless model applies beautifully to Virginia Wine Country.
Nestled in the heart of Fauquier County , Warrenton is one of Virginia’s most precious wine country gems and one of our favorite jump-off points for exploring the region’s most sought-after wineries. Established on land once owned by Founding Father Richard Henry Lee, and named after Revolutionary War hero Joseph Warren, the town carries its history with quiet confidence, visible in its architecture, streets, and timeless charm.
Nearly every corner of this quaint town tells a story, creating a timeless setting that invites wine travelers to slow down and explore. Add a wonderful mix of restaurants, cafés, and pub-style eateries, and you have the perfect prelude to a day of wine tasting in Fauquier County.
Just beyond town, the vineyards take center stage. One of our longtime favorites is Pearmund Cellars whose wines reflect both the character of the land and the spirit of Virginia’s modern wine renaissance.
Warrenton reminds us that great wine destinations are shaped not only by the wines themselves, but by the towns, stories, and continuity that surround them.
It’s not just a stop along the way.
It’s where wine country begins to tell its story.
Come curious. Leave inspired. 🍷
