Epiphany

noun: a moment of sudden revelation or insight.

Our epiphany came more than a decade ago, while we were discovering Virginia Wine Country. As we traveled from vineyard to vineyard, we couldn’t help but notice something striking: the historic sites surrounding (and often sitting between) these wineries were largely quiet and overlooked.

One afternoon doing a wine tasting, we remember thinking, People travel to Europe specifically for the marriage of history and wine. And yet here we were, surrounded not only by exceptional wineries, but by some of the most consequential historic places in American history. Wasn’t this the birthplace of America & American Wine?

That realization became our calling. From that day forward, we committed ourselves to fostering a deeper appreciation for wine and history as a shared travel experience, inviting travelers to experience them together, not as separate attractions, but as a richer, more meaningful journey defined by connection, storytelling, and a true sense of place.

We want to start this year by inviting you to experience wine country as a cultural expression…one with deeper meaning, and an immersion into the land, the stories, and the craft.
